TPS Basic application

  • If the current profile is related to a total station, a window to perform simple measurements without saving data can be opened from main menu at every moment.


  • To open the TPS Basic application from the main menu click TPS.

  • This opens the TPS Status page.

  • The bottom toolbar has the following functions:

    • Robotic/TPS image-20250701-105343.png : access to the control panel of the robotic total station or access to the control panel of the mechanic total station.

    • Set HA image-20250701-105416.png : setting of an horizontal angle for the station.

    • Measure image-20250701-105433.png : starting measurements. At the end of the measurements, the distances measured are reported in the corresponding fields.

  • In the upper part of the window, a panel allows to access to other functions to control the total station.

    • image-20250701-105545.png : the current type of target. Tap to access a window that allows to change the type of target and the target height.

    • image-20250701-105606.png : the instrument height. Click to change height.

    • image-20250701-105654.png : enables/disables the red laser pointer.

    • image-20250701-105711.png : changes the EDM measurement mode (standard, fast, tracking).

    • image-20250701-105732.png : opens the e-bubble.

  • After a measurement is performed the software shows different results:

    • HA: horizontal angle.

    • VA: vertical angle.

    • image-20250701-110035.png : horizontal distance.

    • image-20250701-110044.png : vertical distance.

    • ENZ: point coordinate in East, North and Elevation. Click on the bar to change to ΔE, ΔN, ΔZ.
